Things to do in Stockbridge

Stockbridge Bowl is a 372-acre great pond that has a public boat launch on the western edge of the lake. Olivia’s Overlook, a Berkshire Natural Resources Council property, provides vistas of Stockbridge Bowl and parking for more than 6 miles of trails that extend both north and south along the Yokun Ridge. Gould Meadows, a town park on the northern edge of the lake, has trails through the woods, fields, and on the shore of the lake. Agawam Lake Wildlife Management Area (south of the town) and the associated Kampoosa Bog, offers important habitat to migratory species. The mostly marshy area is open for hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing. The Berkshire Botanical Garden has extensive grounds and is among the oldest in the country. With a collection of over 3,000 species and varieties, the organization is dedicated to educating and inspiring the community regarding the art and science of gardening.
